Turkish Airlines to lease two Boeing 777-300ERSF freighters

AerCap has signed lease agreements with Turkish Airlines for two Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters, adding widebody cargo capacity to the airline’s fleet. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between March and September 2027 after conversion at Etihad Engineering’s maintenance, repair and overhaul hub in Abu Dhabi. Lease duration, financial terms and individual aircraft identities have not been disclosed.

The conversions will take place at Etihad Engineering’s Abu Dhabi facility, which AerCap has described as a platform for serving customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Turkish Airlines’ delivery location was not specified.

The agreement extends AerCap’s leasing activity for the 777-300ERSF, a passenger-to-freighter conversion of Boeing’s 777-300ER. AerCap delivered the programme’s first two converted aircraft to launch customer Kalitta Air in September 2025. The lessor has since delivered aircraft to Fly Meta and signed agreements with Ethiopian Airlines and China Southern Group.
