GIC to open Munich Airport catering site with capacity for 20,000 meals a day

GIC International Catering will begin operating a new production site near Munich Airport on 15 November, adding capacity for up to 20,000 meals a day. The facility, at CTPark München Nord, covers about 2,500 square metres and is expected to employ 80 people initially. Production is scheduled to start later in November, giving the Frankfurt-based caterer a base at Germany’s second major airline hub.

The Munich site will complement GIC’s existing Frankfurt operation, allowing the company to serve airline customers from both locations. The facility’s planned daily output sets its production capacity; actual volumes will depend on demand and customer requirements.

GIC has also extended its catering contracts with Air Astana and Ethiopian Airlines by three years each. Its other reported customers include Air China, for Frankfurt–Beijing-Daxing flights, and China Eastern Airlines. The company’s workforce has grown from 140 at the end of 2025 to 270.
