Breeze Airways has completed its transition to an all-Airbus A220 fleet after retiring its last Embraer E190 on 7 September 2026. The final E190 service was an Orlando-to-New Orleans rotation flown by aircraft N120BZ, ending the airline’s mixed-fleet phase and leaving the A220 as its sole scheduled passenger type.
The shift simplifies operations across maintenance, training and crew planning, while also giving Breeze a more uniform onboard product. All of the airline’s aircraft now offer the premium Ascent seating layout available on the A220, replacing the older E190 cabin from scheduled service.
Breeze has positioned the A220-300 at the centre of its network strategy, using the type to serve secondary and underserved US markets with a lower-capacity, more efficient narrowbody. Recent aircraft deliveries show that the fleet change was still unfolding in early September, with additional A220-300s joining the airline around the same time as the E190 retirement.
