Frankfurt-Hahn Airport in Lautzenhausen has reorganised its management following the departure of René Steinhaus. Jan Glockauer is responsible for operations and aviation, while Michael Feit has taken charge of infrastructure, construction and engineering, including coordination of the terminal modernisation. Robert Willems remains managing director and has additionally become the airport’s EASA Accountable Manager, responsible for compliance with European aviation safety requirements.
Glockauer has held responsibility for operations and aviation since September. Feit’s remit covers the airport’s infrastructure and technical projects, with the ongoing terminal upgrade now explicitly under his coordination. The revised structure is intended to clarify responsibilities and maintain the airport’s operational continuity and ability to act.
Triwo Hahn Airport GmbH and Steinhaus agreed to end his tenure by mutual consent, according to the airport. Triwo has owned Frankfurt-Hahn since April 2023. No specific reason was given for Steinhaus’s departure, and the airport did not disclose contract details for the current management team.
The changes come as Frankfurt-Hahn continues work on modernising its passenger terminal. The airport’s new division of responsibilities places the related infrastructure and technical coordination with Feit, while operational and aviation matters are handled by Glockauer and regulatory accountability rests with Willems.
