Werner Aero has completed the acquisition of two Embraer E190 aircraft for its E-Jet teardown programme, expanding its inventory of used serviceable material for the aviation aftermarket. MSN 19000050 has been delivered to Toulouse Francazal Airport in France for dismantling, while MSN 19000600, acquired from AerCap, is located in Greenwood, Mississippi, where it will also be dismantled.
The aircraft will be processed to recover serviceable components for airlines, maintenance, repair and overhaul providers, lessors and other aviation customers. The acquisitions increase Werner Aero’s supply of parts for the first-generation Embraer E-Jet fleet and broaden its presence in the global aircraft-components aftermarket.
Tony Kondo, Werner Aero’s president and chief executive, described the purchases as supporting the company’s continuing aircraft-teardown programme and its effort to provide aftermarket solutions worldwide. The company has not disclosed the financial terms of the transactions or expected completion dates for the dismantling work.
