Airbus A320 family: Lufthansa Technik to maintain at least 23 Pegasus aircraft

Lufthansa Technik will provide base-maintenance services for at least 23 Pegasus Airlines aircraft from the Airbus A320 family during the 2026/27 winter season. The work will be carried out exclusively at Lufthansa Technik Sofia in Bulgaria, using two dedicated maintenance lines. Alongside established C-checks, the programme will include two end-of-lease aircraft redelivery projects for the first time.

The redelivery projects will support the transfer of aircraft from Pegasus to new operators after their lease terms expire. Combining this work with scheduled maintenance is intended to meet the Turkish carrier’s fleet-transition requirements while improving operational efficiency.

The programme forms part of a multi-year agreement signed in 2024, with the 2026/27 winter season representing its third year. Lufthansa Technik and Pegasus have worked together on fleet maintenance since 2012, completing more than 100 checks during the partnership.

The expanded scope reflects Pegasus’s fleet growth and rising maintenance requirements. The announcement did not disclose the individual aircraft registrations, the precise A320-family variant breakdown or the timing of each maintenance input.
