Airbus and Air France-KLM have established Alpha Component Solutions, a 50-50 joint venture dedicated to component support for the Airbus A350. Operated jointly by the two groups, the Toulouse-based initiative will manage a worldwide shared-access pool and provide components, maintenance, repairs and supply-chain services to A350 operators. It already has contracts covering more than 500 aircraft.
The venture combines Airbus’ Flight Hours Services (FHS) capabilities with those of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). Its global network will support existing and new customers as the A350 fleet expands and operators seek long-term access to parts and component maintenance throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
The structure brings shared assets, repair and maintenance capacity, and logistics management into a single support organisation. Airbus and Air France-KLM expect this to improve component availability and simplify aftermarket support for operators. The venture was finalised during MRO Europe, with operations expected to begin by the end of 2026. Financial terms and the location of its principal facilities were not disclosed.
