Eurowings has opened a public “Name a Plane” campaign that invites people to nominate a “Herzensmensch” for a place on one of its Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline is seeking four winners whose first names will be displayed on the jets, with nominations accepted until 11 October and the results due in December.
Entrants are asked to submit the nominee’s first name and personal story through Eurowings’ website. The campaign is aimed at people who make a difference in family life, among friends, in clubs, through volunteering or in everyday situations, rather than public figures or attention-grabbing personalities.
A jury will review the entries and choose four people from the submissions. Eurowings will place their first names prominently on Airbus A320 aircraft, turning the tribute into a visible passenger-facing campaign across its fleet.
