Embraer and Japan Airlines have renewed a multi-year maintenance, repair and spare-parts support agreement for JAL’s fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft. The extension keeps Embraer’s Pool Program in place for JAL and J-Air, with repairable components and nearby inventory aimed at supporting operations in Japan and limiting disruption.
The aircraft covered by the deal have been operating in the airline’s fleet since 2008. Embraer put the fleet’s six-month service reliability rate at 99.8%, underscoring the focus of the agreement on continued operational availability.
The renewed arrangement extends a long-running partnership between the two companies and maintains access to manufacturer-backed parts support for the regional jet fleet. JAL’s E-Jets remain central to domestic and regional operations through J-Air, the carrier’s wholly owned subsidiary.
