Vietjet expands Collins Aerospace contract to cover 44 additional A320neo family aircraft

Vietjet Air has expanded its contract with RTX’s Collins Aerospace to include FlightSense maintenance and reliability services for 44 additional Airbus A320neo family aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The agreement extends Collins’ support for Vietjet’s growing fleet and is intended to improve aircraft reliability and operational efficiency, although financial terms and implementation timing were not disclosed.

The expanded coverage builds on Vietjet Group’s broader relationship with Collins Aerospace. In 2024, Collins signed an exclusive, long-term agreement with Vietjet and Vietjet Thailand for CFM56-5B nacelle maintenance, repair and overhaul services, with preferred support also extending to nacelle repairs for the group’s PW1100G-JM fleet.

The latest contract concerns 44 additional GTF-powered aircraft and adds recurring maintenance and reliability support through Collins’ FlightSense programme. The available information does not specify the aircraft delivery schedule, the precise services included beyond the programme designation, or whether the agreement applies to aircraft operated by Vietjet or its regional subsidiary.
