Lygg will launch a new air service linking Emden in East Frisia with Esbjerg in Denmark on 13 October 2026, providing three weekly departures for business travellers and companies in the offshore and energy sectors. The route will be operated with a 19-seat aircraft on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, either nonstop or via Groningen in the Netherlands.
The service extends Lygg’s existing Esbjerg–Groningen operation, which began in August, and creates an additional cross-border link between business regions around the North Sea. Passengers travelling via Groningen will remain on the same aircraft rather than changing planes.
Lygg is developing the route as part of a broader North Sea network connecting regional airports. The airline plans to add further destinations over the medium term, although no specific airports have been identified. The service is intended for corporate travel, with bookings available directly through Lygg and travel agencies.
The available information does not specify how many rotations will operate nonstop compared with those routed through Groningen. It also does not provide flight times, fares or a demand or load-factor forecast.
