TUI Airline has partnered with GO7 to launch an airline-controlled connectivity system that lets customers combine two flights into one journey with through-checked baggage and optional protection for missed connections. The integration connects TUI’s existing New Skies passenger service system to GO7’s connection environment, while leaving TUI in control of pricing, settlement, operations and the customer relationship.
GO7 has positioned the setup as an airline-controlled connection model, with TUI the first carrier to go live on the platform. The solution uses ThruBag for baggage transfer and ConnectProtect for missed-connection compensation, and can also support settlement through IATA Clearing House.
For TUI, the practical benefit is a wider range of connecting itineraries beyond its own network, opening additional retail and route options without changes to its operational systems. The arrangement is designed to let the airline expand its distribution and connection offering while keeping the core commercial and operational controls in-house.
