Fiji Airways to launch direct Nadi-Western Sydney service in March 2027

Fiji Airways will start direct flights between Nadi and Western Sydney International Airport on 19 March 2027, using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on a three-times-weekly schedule. The route will operate on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, making Fiji Airways the first international carrier to commit to the new airport and extending the airline’s reach across the Greater Sydney market.

The service will complement Fiji Airways’ existing twice-daily Nadi-Sydney Kingsford Smith flights. More than 53,000 annual seats are planned on the route, with introductory fares expected to support early sales. Western Sydney International is due to begin passenger services on 25 October 2026, while Fiji Airways’ operation will follow several months later.

The new link is aimed at demand from Australia, Fiji’s largest inbound tourism market, and at Western Sydney’s sizeable Fijian and Pacific Islander communities. For the airport, the commitment adds an early long-haul international operator as it builds its opening network.
