Widerøe to end Germany routes from Bergen in winter 2026/27

Widerøe will end its Bergen services to Hamburg and Munich in the winter 2026/27 schedule, with the last direct flights planned for late October 2026. The move removes the airline’s remaining Germany links from Bergen after both routes returned in 2023 and later moved to year-round operation, cutting direct connectivity to two key business destinations.

The Bergen-Hamburg and Bergen-Munich services were first launched in 2018, paused during the pandemic in 2020 and later restored. Widerøe is also set to withdraw from Bergen-Brussels and Bergen-Dublin around the same time, pointing to a broader retrenchment from the airport. The Germany routes are expected not to return in summer 2027, with the cuts attributed to weak profitability.
