Pratt & Whitney to invest $25 million in Poland plant expansion

Pratt & Whitney will invest US$25 million to expand its engine-components manufacturing site in Niepołomice, Poland, lifting output of complex tubular assemblies for commercial and military engines. The RTX subsidiary expects the enlarged facility to become operational in 2028 and to create more than 120 jobs as it responds to rising demand for aircraft engines.

The project builds on the plant’s existing role in supplying precision components for the GTF, PW800 and F135 programmes. It also extends Pratt & Whitney’s broader manufacturing push in Poland, where the company is strengthening capacity across its European supply chain.

Dariusz Stopa, general manager of Pratt & Whitney in Niepołomice, described Poland as a key hub in the company’s global engine production and pointed to US$125 million in facility investment this year, including a separate US$100 million commitment in Rzeszów. The expansion is being supported through the Polish Investment Zone Programme.
