Discover Airlines adds summer 2027 routes to Alghero and Genoa

Discover Airlines will add new summer 2027 services from Munich to Alghero and from Frankfurt to Genoa, extending its Italy network with two first-time direct routes. Both links will operate twice weekly on Airbus A320 aircraft, with Alghero due to begin on 4 June 2027 and Genoa on 28 March 2027.

The Munich-Alghero service runs through 29 October 2027 and gives the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier a new connection to north-west Sardinia. The route joins existing Italy services to Bari and Brindisi, taking the airline’s Italian network to four destinations. Discover Airlines also has no other direct competition on either of the new routes from the two German airports.

The Genoa flight adds a new Frankfurt link to Liguria and has been positioned for both leisure demand and cruise traffic. The schedule is set to operate on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer season, while the Alghero service will operate on Mondays and Fridays. The expansion follows other new destination additions for summer 2027 in northern Europe and the UK.
