Osprey Flight Solutions has warned operators of elevated security risk in Gulf operations as attacks linked to Houthi forces in Saudi Arabia increase pressure on aviation activity and regional fuel supply. The advisory also points to higher jet fuel prices, including rising global costs and steeper FBO pricing, adding to route planning and operating expenses for carriers and business aviation users in the region.
The warning follows attacks on Saudi oil pipelines and air bases, which have widened concern over security conditions around Gulf airspace and ground operations. Disruption to energy infrastructure can quickly affect aviation fuel availability, making supply resilience a practical concern for operators planning flights through or near the region.
Fuel costs have become a separate commercial strain, with Osprey highlighting the gap between global jet fuel trends and the much higher prices paid at some fixed-base operators. For operators already managing security assessments, the combined effect can alter fuel uplift decisions, stop planning and overall trip economics.
