Linfox receives first Airbus H160 in Australia

Linfox Group has taken delivery of Australia’s first Airbus H160 helicopter in Melbourne, with the twin-engine aircraft prepared by Pacific Crown Helicopters for entry into service. The helicopter will support Linfox’s business and corporate aviation requirements and is set to operate across major cities and regional destinations in Australia.

The handover gives Linfox the first H160 flown by an Australian operator, extending the type’s presence into a new regional market. Airbus has positioned the H160 for business aviation, public services, offshore transport and military use, and highlights its fuel-efficiency gains and compatibility with sustainable aviation fuel. The aircraft delivered to Linfox is configured for eight passengers, below the model’s certified maximum of 12.

Airbus also points to the H160’s cabin features, including large windows and a spacious interior, alongside the Arrano engines, which the manufacturer says can cut fuel consumption by up to 18% compared with the previous generation in its class. The aircraft is certified for blends containing up to 50% SAF, a capability that aligns with growing interest in lower-emission rotary-wing operations.
