Flyadeal is preparing to add connecting itineraries and origin-and-destination fares within weeks as the Saudi low-cost carrier moves beyond a pure point-to-point model. Acting chief executive Sanjiv Kapoor also outlined plans for a premium-economy product and longer-range flying, signalling a broader shift in the airline’s commercial strategy from its base in Saudi Arabia.
The changes would give Flyadeal a more networked offering, with seamless connections designed to make the carrier more competitive for one-stop travel across domestic and international markets. The airline has so far operated as a standard low-cost carrier focused on short-haul, non-stop flying, but the new fare structure would allow it to sell itineraries across multiple sectors.
The premium-economy move suggests Flyadeal is preparing for a more differentiated cabin mix as the group explores long-haul expansion. Details on launch timing, aircraft type and destination choices have not been disclosed, leaving the next stage of the airline’s network plan still to be defined.
