FL Technics wins EASA approval for Bali facility

FL Technics Indonesia has received EASA Part-145 approval for its maintenance facility at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, allowing it to perform approved base and line maintenance on European Union-registered Airbus A320-family and Boeing 737 aircraft. The certification expands the site’s market beyond aircraft registered in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia to include European carriers operating under EASA requirements.

The approval covers Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft, together with Boeing 737 Classic, Next Generation and MAX variants. EASA inspectors assessed the facility’s infrastructure, tooling systems and engineering workforce through technical and quality audits before granting the certification.

FL Technics Indonesia is preparing to begin work for an EU-based operator, with further aircraft expected to arrive in November. The operator has not been identified. The Bali site occupies 17,000 square metres and includes three hangars, three aircraft bays and a 2,000-square-metre paint booth. The certification makes it one of a small number of EASA-approved MRO facilities in Indonesia.
