Airbus has established Alpha Component Solutions, a 50-50 joint venture with Air France dedicated to A350 component support. Operated jointly by Airbus and Air France-KLM, the Toulouse-based venture will manage a worldwide shared-access pool of A350 assets and provide maintenance, supply-chain management and repair services to operators. It already holds contracts covering more than 500 aircraft.
The entity combines Airbus Flight Hours Services with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, bringing their component inventories, repair capabilities and supply-chain resources into a dedicated organisation. The structure formalises and expands cooperation between Airbus and Air France-KLM as the global A350 fleet grows and airlines seek long-term access to replacement components and maintenance capacity.
Alpha Component Solutions will support both existing and new A350 operators through its worldwide operating footprint. Airbus and Air France-KLM did not disclose financial terms, facility locations or the distribution of contracted aircraft by operator or region.
