Etihad Airways has unveiled its new Beyond Borders cabin and brand experience in Abu Dhabi, introducing a refreshed premium design language that will debut on the Airbus A330-900neo before extending to the A321LR fleet. The long-haul widebody will enter service in the fourth quarter of 2027 and will carry four First suites, 24 Business seats and 252 Economy seats.
The A330-900neo First suites feature closing doors, 32-inch screens, wireless charging and companion dining space, while Business class includes fully lie-flat seats with direct aisle access and sliding doors. Economy seats will have 13.3-inch 4K screens, with 32 configured for extra legroom.
Beyond Borders is intended to unify the guest journey across cabins, lounges, dining, wellbeing, connectivity and ground services. Etihad is using the A330-900neo as the main showcase for the concept while adapting it for the A321LR, where the airline has already introduced premium features unusual on a narrowbody aircraft.
