Etihad removes planned additional Germany flights from schedule

Etihad Airways has removed three planned daily frequency increases between Abu Dhabi and Germany from its latest preliminary schedule filing. The additional services, previously due to start on 21 August 2027, would have added a second daily flight to Düsseldorf and third daily flights to Frankfurt and Munich. The changes affect flights planned with Airbus A321LR and Boeing 787-9 aircraft; the filing does not indicate a reduction in existing services.

The proposed Düsseldorf service was EY135/136, operated by an A321LR, while the Frankfurt increase was assigned to EY121/122 with a 787-9. The Munich addition, also planned with an A321LR, was listed as EY129/130. The increases had already been moved to August 2027 before disappearing from the latest filing.

The schedule information was reported by AeroRoutes on 6 November. No reason for the removal was given, and there was no cited official Etihad announcement. As the changes concern a preliminary filing, the airline’s plans could change again.
