Brussels Airlines to introduce Diane von Furstenberg amenity kits

Brussels Airlines will introduce new amenity kits for Business Class passengers on long-haul flights from mid-November. Designed by Belgian-American fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, the kits come in two shapes and use two of her prints: Vintage Weave, first created in 1973, and Ikat, dating from the early 1980s. Each includes a matching sleep mask and toiletries supplied by Antwerp-based Belgian company Waterl’eau.

The kits will be exclusive to long-haul Business Class passengers. Brussels Airlines has not specified which routes will receive them, the precise onboard rollout schedule or the number to be distributed.

The partnership brings together the designer and a Belgian family-owned toiletries company. Von Furstenberg has a personal connection to Belgium and Brussels Airport through her childhood in the country and her early experience of flying alone. The airline’s announcement did not provide further details on the commercial terms of the collaboration.
