Aviation Capital Group places largest-ever order for 75 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed a firm order with Airbus for 75 A320neo Family aircraft, the largest purchase in the lessor’s nearly 40-year history. Deliveries are scheduled from 2032 to 2035, with conversion rights between variants allowing ACG to adjust the mix as airline demand develops. The agreement expands the Newport Beach-based company’s future narrowbody portfolio and secures delivery positions through the mid-2030s.

The order takes ACG’s total historical purchases of the A320neo Family to 190 aircraft and its outstanding orders to 115. The lessor operated 118 aircraft from the family at the end of June 2026. Airbus and ACG did not disclose the allocation between A320neo and A321neo aircraft.

Tokyo Century, ACG’s parent company, put the total list price at approximately 1.856 trillion yen (about US$11.76 billion), although the actual acquisition cost was not disclosed because of confidentiality obligations. ACG president and chief executive Thomas Baker described the purchase as a long-term commitment to air travel and to the lessor’s role linking airlines, aircraft and capital.

The transaction extends a relationship with Airbus that began when ACG placed its first direct order with the manufacturer in 2007.
