Aeroitalia has selected Delta TechOps to provide component support for its Boeing 737 NG fleet under a programme combining access to Delta’s component pool with a dedicated spare-parts kit at the Italian carrier’s Rome base. Announced at MRO Europe in Amsterdam on 28 October, the arrangement is intended to reduce parts procurement times and aircraft downtime, while improving fleet availability as Aeroitalia grows. Service is expected to begin in early February 2027.
The five-year programme will draw on Delta TechOps’ component maintenance capabilities and logistics network. The companies are identifying which parts will be stocked in Rome and which will be supplied through the wider pool. The agreement does not specify the individual components covered.
Aeroitalia expects the local inventory and shared-parts access to help limit operational disruptions and support more reliable passenger service. The contract extends the companies’ relationship beyond connectivity opportunities linking Aeroitalia’s domestic network with Delta’s global network, announced in 2025, into maintenance and technical operations.
The programme adds the Italian airline to Delta TechOps’ European component-support business. Delta TechOps supports more than 150 customers across six continents and reported $1 billion in year-to-date MRO revenue.
