SGI Aviation Extends Leases on Two Philippine Airlines 777-300ERs

Amsterdam-based SGI Aviation has arranged lease extensions for two Boeing 777-300ERs operated by Philippine Airlines (PAL), on behalf of an undisclosed US-based client. The aircraft, manufacturer serial numbers 29146 and 29147, are now due to remain with the airline until November 2031 and February 2032, respectively. The transaction extends existing leases; it does not involve new deliveries, and its financial terms were not disclosed.

SGI described the extensions as the highest-value lease-extension transaction it has completed for a client. The company has been involved in transactions covering 14 Boeing 777-300ERs over the past five years. The two aircraft were previously identified as having been delivered to PAL in 2024 on behalf of an American client.

The extensions secure PAL’s continued use of the twin-engine widebodies for long-haul operations. The 777-300ER is used on the airline’s high-capacity international routes, including services to North America. The identity of the US-based client and the value of the extended leases have not been disclosed.
