American Airlines is set to open a new Terminal A pier at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, adding 10 gates at its largest hub. The expansion will make Terminal A the carrier’s busiest terminal and brings more gate capacity, customer amenities and support space as part of ongoing investment in the airport.
The new pier forms part of American’s broader Forever Forward programme at DFW, where the carrier continues to expand and modernise its hub operations. Alongside the additional gates, the development includes new concessions and upgraded facilities for passengers and team members.
DFW remains one of American’s most important operating bases, and the latest project is aimed at strengthening capacity in a high-traffic market. The new pier is described as opening soon, with the airline positioning the work as another step in its long-term hub growth at Dallas/Fort Worth.
