Alsie Express recorded a net loss of approximately DKK1.5 million for the financial year ended 30 April 2026, despite receiving DKK21.5 million from the Bitten & Mads Clausens Foundation. The Sønderborg-based virtual carrier of Air Alsie continues to operate the regional route linking Sønderborg with Copenhagen using ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The result reverses a profit of about DKK1.5 million in the previous financial year. The foundation’s latest contribution was also lower than the DKK27.6 million provided in 2024/25 and followed DKK35.5 million in 2023/24.
Alsie Express’ equity position deteriorated from approximately negative DKK10.9 million to negative DKK12.4 million during the year. The company’s share capital has been exhausted, while Air Alsie has issued a letter of support and solutions are being sought to restore equity.
Alsie Express operates without directly employed staff. Air Alsie provides the operational and flight personnel and operates the two ATR 72-500s. The foundation helped establish the carrier in 2013 to support the air link between Sønderborg and the Danish capital, and remains its principal financial backer.
