Nigerian Business Aviation Conference to Return in Lagos in May 2027

Nigeria’s business aviation sector plans to revive its dedicated industry conference in Lagos in May 2027, after a 10-year absence. Organised by EAN Aviation under the Aviation & Business Summit and Exhibition platform, the event will bring together operators, regulators, financiers and other stakeholders to address the commercial and operational barriers shaping business aviation growth across Nigeria and West Africa.

EAN chairman Segun Demuren described increased business activity across the region as a timely reason to reconvene the sector. The conference is expected to focus on practical measures to support expansion, including improvements to airport infrastructure, clearer regulation and better access to finance.

Nigeria’s market was historically driven largely by oil and gas, but demand now also comes from entertainment, technology and financial services. Oil and gas remains significant, although the broader mix of industries has changed the market’s growth profile.

Industry leaders identify financing constraints, inadequate infrastructure and regulatory uncertainty as persistent obstacles to business aviation development in Africa. The event is intended to bring public- and private-sector participants together to discuss investment, partnerships and solutions suited to regional operating conditions. Further details on the programme, venue, exhibitors and expected attendance have not yet been confirmed.
