Airbus has opened a new A320-family delivery centre at its Jean-Luc Lagardère site in Toulouse, consolidating final production steps, technical adjustments, customer reception and handover in one location. The facility is designed to support the ramp-up of A320 Family output as the company works towards monthly production of 70 to 75 aircraft by the end of 2027.
The centre adds 16 aircraft positions near the final assembly line and includes a dedicated hall for narrow-body technical finishing, alongside a customer area and customs-clearance zone for international deliveries. Covering more than 35,000 square metres, the project involved over 700 people and 50 partner companies.
The move comes against a backdrop of continued strong demand for the A320 Family, which remains Airbus’s key narrow-body programme. At the end of August 2026, the backlog stood at 7,577 aircraft, including 5,691 A321neo jets. Airbus has been working to ease bottlenecks across the industrial system as it raises production and shortens the final delivery process.
