Air France’s La Première has been named the world’s best first class at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards in London. The result gives the French carrier its first win in the category and follows the rollout of its updated La Première suite, unveiled in 2025.
Air France also retained the Best Airline in Western Europe title for the sixth consecutive year. The airline picked up additional honours for Best First Class Lounge Dining and Best First Class Comfort Amenities, underlining the role of both onboard product and ground experience in the premium long-haul market.
The La Première suite has been positioned as Air France’s flagship first-class offering, with the refreshed design forming the basis of the recognition. The awards strengthen the carrier’s standing in the ultra-premium segment as airlines compete for high-yield travellers through differentiated cabin standards, lounge services and onboard dining.
