Aena has launched two project-management tenders worth a combined €42.7 million for major works at Bilbao and Valencia airports. The contracts cover supervision of Bilbao’s terminal remodel, which will add six boarding bridges, and the first phase of Valencia’s terminal expansion, with both assignments running for 60 months.
In Bilbao, the contract is valued at €22,959,220.59 and covers project management, technical direction and construction supervision for the airport’s reconfiguration in Loiu. The plans include extending the terminal at both ends and enlarging passenger-processing areas, alongside broader modernisation of passenger spaces and services.
The Valencia tender is worth €19,749,315.55 and covers management of the initial phase of the terminal enlargement at Manises. Both projects are tied to Aena’s 2027-2031 investment cycle, which earmarks €364.5 million for Bilbao and €402.1 million for Valencia. The contracts are early-stage enabling work for larger capacity and operational upgrades at two of Spain’s busiest regional airports.
