Aeroitalia adds Christmas and New Year flights to Sardinia

Aeroitalia is adding special Christmas and New Year flights between Sardinia and mainland Italy, expanding services from Alghero and Olbia to Genoa and Trieste and reinforcing the Cagliari–Florence route. The seasonal programme covers selected dates from 5 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, providing additional capacity for holiday travel between Sardinia, Liguria and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The flights are already available for booking.

Additional Trieste–Olbia and Genoa–Olbia services are scheduled for 24 and 30 December, and 2 and 6 January. Flights linking Trieste and Alghero, and Genoa and Alghero, will operate on 23, 26 and 29 December and 4 January.

The Cagliari–Florence route will receive additional flights on 5 and 8 December. From 19 December to 5 January, the service is scheduled to operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Aeroitalia chief executive Gaetano Intrieri described the programme as a response to increased holiday mobility, including family reunions and travel to Sardinia.

The timetable expands seasonal connectivity rather than creating daily or year-round Genoa services. The available information does not specify fares, aircraft types or expected load factors.
