General Dynamics’ Aerospace segment, which includes Gulfstream Aerospace and Jet Aviation, generated $3.536 billion in revenue in the third quarter of 2026, up 9.3% year on year. Operating earnings rose 19.3% to $513 million. Gulfstream delivered 40 business jets during the quarter, one more than a year earlier, while Aerospace orders reached $4.97 billion and backlog stood at $25.385 billion at 4 October.
The deliveries comprised 35 large-cabin aircraft and five mid-cabin aircraft. Orders exceeded quarterly revenue, producing a 1.4-to-1 book-to-bill ratio. Backlog increased from $23.977 billion at the end of the second quarter.
Higher Gulfstream deliveries and growth in aircraft services at both Gulfstream and Jet Aviation contributed to the segment’s revenue increase. General Dynamics did not report separate quarterly revenue or earnings for either subsidiary.
For the first nine months of 2026, Aerospace revenue totalled $10.34 billion, up 10.9%, while operating earnings rose 19.8% to $1.516 billion. Gulfstream delivered 119 aircraft in the period, compared with 113 in the first nine months of 2025.
