Threshold Aviation CEO makes fourth G550 city-pair speed record attempt

Threshold Aviation Group CEO Mark DiLullo has made a fourth city-pair speed record attempt, flying a Gulfstream G550 from Narita International Airport in Japan to Green Bay, Wisconsin. The transpacific flight covered 6,344 nautical miles in 10 hours 31 minutes, at an average groundspeed of about 600 knots. The attempt has been submitted to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), but certification has not been confirmed.

DiLullo was pilot-in-command, with Jerry Perez and Travis Holland serving as second-in-command. The route linked Narita (RJAA) with Green Bay (KGRB).

The flight adds another long-range city-pair attempt to DiLullo’s record efforts and demonstrates the G550’s performance over a long transpacific sector. The available information does not specify the aircraft’s configuration or provide independent validation of the elapsed time and distance. The FAI submission therefore remains distinct from an officially certified record.
