Flyte Aviation has received Transport Canada approval to operate charter flights into and out of Canada, opening a new international market for the U.S. operator. The company plans to connect cities in the northern and northeastern United States with Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa using Cirrus Vision Jets. No launch date, specific routes or fares have been announced, and the approval does not establish that flights have begun.
Flyte obtained a Canadian Transportation Agency licence on 20 October. The planned service remains subject to airport, customs and operational requirements. The company has not detailed how frequently it intends to fly or which U.S. cities it will serve.
The Canadian expansion adds to Flyte’s existing international destinations in the Caribbean. Its fleet comprises four Vision Jet G2s and one G2+, according to industry reporting. The aircraft are intended for regional trips, but the company has not provided details on passenger capacity, schedules or the commercial terms of the proposed Canadian service.
