Prima Air has received FAA Part 145 repair-station certification for its maintenance facility at Hollywood Burbank Airport in California, expanding the company’s private-charter and aircraft-management operations into in-house support for large-cabin business jets. The approval covers Gulfstream G650ER, G550, GV and GIV aircraft, together with the Bombardier Global 5000, from a dedicated 50,000-square-foot facility.
The station is also authorised to support several powerplants, including the Rolls-Royce BR725A1-12, BR700-710C4-11, BR700-710A2-20, BR700-710A1-10 and Tay 611-8 engines. Maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations will be performed within the scope of Prima Air’s FAA-approved operations specifications, capability list and applicable technical data.
The Burbank facility is intended to serve operators, aircraft owners, managed-aircraft clients and corporate flight departments across Southern California. By combining airframe and engine support at one location, Prima Air aims to centralise technical coordination and reduce the need to reposition large-cabin aircraft between multiple maintenance providers. The certification extends the company’s integrated service model beyond charter and aircraft management to include approved maintenance capability for selected Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft.
