STARLUX Airlines and American Airlines have launched a codeshare partnership that connects STARLUX’s transpacific network with American’s domestic services, with tickets available from 23 September and flights due to begin on 30 September. The agreement gives travellers single-ticket itineraries between Taipei and 20 US destinations, including key gateways such as New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago O’Hare and Dallas/Fort Worth.
American will place its code on STARLUX-operated flights between Taipei and Los Angeles, Ontario, San Francisco and Seattle, while Phoenix–Taipei is still awaiting regulatory approval. In the other direction, STARLUX will add its code to American flights via Los Angeles and Phoenix to cities across the US, broadening feed into its Taipei service.
The carriers are positioning the partnership around easier connections and through-checked baggage, building on an interline relationship established in 2025. STARLUX has also indicated that a reciprocal loyalty arrangement is in preparation, although that element is not yet live.
