Brussels Airlines Heraklion flight diverts to Zagreb after medical emergency

A Brussels Airlines flight from Brussels to Heraklion diverted to Zagreb on Thursday morning after a medical emergency on board. The Airbus A320, registered OO-TCH and operating as SN3255, landed in the Croatian capital at around 08:00 before continuing to Crete about an hour later.

The unscheduled stop affected a leisure service bound for Heraklion and caused a delay for passengers headed to Crete. One couple left the aircraft in Zagreb, while the rest of the flight resumed once the medical situation was handled.

Brussels Airlines identified the diversion as necessary for privacy reasons and gave no further details on the passenger’s condition. No aircraft problem was reported, and the routing took the jet over Bosnia-Herzegovina before the turn towards Zagreb.
