Boeing and Turkish Airlines Finalise Order for Up to 150 737 MAX Jets

Boeing and Turkish Airlines have finalised an order for up to 150 737 MAX aircraft in New York, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan present at the signing. The deal covers 100 firm 737-8 jets and options for 50 more, with substitution rights for the 737-10, as Turkish Airlines expands its short- and medium-haul network.

The agreement ends discussions that began in 2025 and gives Turkish Airlines its largest Boeing single-aisle order. Boeing linked the narrowbody purchase to fleet renewal and operating efficiency, with the 737 MAX family offering lower fuel burn and emissions than the aircraft it replaces.

Turkish Airlines already operates more than 200 Boeing aircraft across several types, including the 737 MAX, 787 Dreamliner, 777, 737 Next-Generation and 777 Freighter. Boeing did not disclose financial terms or a delivery schedule in the material available.
