Boeing’s engineers and technical employees represented by SPEEA are moving toward a ratification vote on a revised four-year contract offer, after the union’s negotiation team recommended members accept the package. The vote is scheduled to run electronically from noon Pacific time on 24 September until noon Pacific time on 1 October, with the current agreement due to expire in early October.
The revised offer follows an earlier Boeing proposal that members rejected in an August vote. It covers the company’s Puget Sound engineering workforce and comes at a key point in bargaining as both sides seek to avoid a disruption when the existing contract runs out. SPEEA has told members that voting information will be sent later by email and mail.
The proposal includes updated pay and work-rule terms, and Reuters reported that the bargaining team moved to support acceptance after reviewing the latest terms. The offer is not yet approved, and the outcome now depends on the ballot result.
