Airbus disclosed share buyback transactions covering 11 to 18 September, with 1,169,475 shares repurchased at a weighted average price of 196.4258 euros. The open-market purchases were carried out on Euronext Paris and Xetra under a repurchase programme launched to support future employee share ownership and equity-based compensation plans.
The weekly purchases formed part of a buyback programme announced on 11 September and authorised by shareholders at the annual general meeting on 14 April, which allows repurchases of up to 10% of issued share capital. Airbus ran the programme under EU market abuse rules and appointed an investment firm to manage execution independently.
Daily volumes were broadly steady at about 195,000 shares, with the highest daily weighted average price at 198.6527 euros and the lowest at 195.3216 euros. The disclosure is a routine treasury update for the aerospace group and does not indicate any change to aircraft production or delivery activity.
