Air Transat will suspend its Toronto Pearson–Manchester service from 4 January to 27 March 2027 as part of a winter capacity adjustment on the transatlantic route. The seasonal pause affects the Canada–UK link between Toronto and Manchester, but the airline has kept the route in its summer 2027 programme.
The change reflects an ongoing capacity review aimed at matching winter flying more closely to demand. Air Transat’s decision trims transatlantic capacity on a leisure-focused UK route rather than removing it entirely, with service set to resume at the end of March. The route has operated seasonally in recent years, with winter flying offered only in some periods.
Air Transat is also making other winter schedule changes elsewhere in its network, including a delayed start for Montreal–Tulum. The move fits a broader pattern of capacity discipline as the carrier adjusts its schedule ahead of the 2027 summer season.
