Flexjet takes first Embraer Praetor 600E as launch operator

Embraer has delivered the first Praetor 600E to Flexjet, making the fractional operator the launch customer and first fleet user of the updated super-midsize business jet. The aircraft was handed over in the United States on 18 September, with one report identifying Melbourne, Florida, as the delivery location. Flexjet expects 12 Praetor 600Es by the end of 2026.

The delivery follows a 2025 fleet agreement valued at up to US$7 billion, covering 182 firm aircraft, 30 options and support services. Flexjet’s new aircraft will sit within a broader Embraer-heavy fleet that already includes other business-jet types from Bombardier and Gulfstream. The Praetor 600E is also reported to feature Embraer’s certified Smart Window technology, extending the model into commercial service with one of the world’s largest fractional ownership operators.
