HAV Offers Sentinel Hawk Airship In New Bid For Pentagon ISR Roles

Hybrid Air Vehicles and WepTac A.G. are advancing a US-focused joint venture to develop Sentinel Hawk, a missionised derivative of the Airlander 10 hybrid airship for Pentagon intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance work. The concept positions the platform for long-endurance surveillance, communications and long-range targeting missions, with mission-system integration and sustainment support tailored to US military requirements.

The proposal reflects interest in persistent airborne ISR assets that can stay aloft for extended periods while supporting communications relays and targeting operations. Sentinel Hawk is intended to build on the Airlander 10 design, adapting it for defence use rather than introducing a clean-sheet aircraft.

No US military contract has been disclosed. The current effort centres on a planned development partnership and a possible future role in defence acquisition rather than a confirmed procurement award. The disclosure also arrives as militaries continue to seek lower-cost platforms for endurance surveillance over large areas.
