United Airlines customers will be able to watch live professional and college football on Starlink-enabled seatback screens under a new agreement with DISH, with the service starting this week on more than 200 mainline aircraft. The offering will expand to nearly 700 aircraft by February 2027 and will be available on domestic flights through the Super Bowl period.
The channel line-up includes ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, FS1, ESPN, ESPN2, NFL Network and Thursday Night Football on Prime Video. The move extends United’s use of Starlink connectivity beyond Wi-Fi and personal-device streaming by delivering live sports directly to the seatback screen.
Chicago-based United has already installed Starlink on more than 560 mainline and United Express aircraft, and live TV streaming is active on more than 220 mainline aircraft, handling about 700 flights a day. Starlink is free for MileagePlus members in every class of service, while the airline expects installations to continue through the end of 2027.
