BermudAir to become second operator of Embraer E190F

BermudAir will lease one Embraer E190F from Regional One, becoming the second airline worldwide to operate the converted freighter and the first in the Americas. The aircraft is set to expand the Bermuda-based carrier’s business beyond passenger services and into dedicated cargo capacity across North America and the Caribbean.

Embraer and Regional One unveiled the deal in São José dos Campos, Brazil, on 16 September. Regional One has five firm orders for the E190F programme, while two converted aircraft have already been delivered and entered commercial service.

BermudAir plans to use the E190F for express cargo, e-commerce and time-sensitive freight within its existing network, which includes Bermuda, the United States and Canada. The lease gives the carrier a freighter presence without a direct purchase, while also bringing the E-Freighter into the Americas for the first time.
