NASA and SpaceX target early October launch for Crew-13 mission to the ISS

NASA and SpaceX are now aiming to launch Crew-13 to the International Space Station in early October, after shifting the mission from its earlier target. The flight will carry astronauts Jessica Watkins, Luke Delaney, Joshua Kutryk and Sergey Teteryatnikov on SpaceX’s next crew rotation mission under NASA’s Commercial Crew programme.

NASA’s latest mission page lists the launch as “NET early October 2026”, while a separate update on 16 September said the delay gives teams time to finish pre-launch work, carry out readiness reviews and coordinate station operations. The change follows the replacement of an oxidiser valve in Dragon’s propulsion system after a leak was found during processing. Crew-13 had previously been planned for 12 September, and the timing shift will keep the current ISS crew in place a little longer before handover.
