Wizz Air to launch Malmö–Pristina route in December 2026

Wizz Air will open a direct Malmö Airport–Pristina service on 15 December 2026, adding a new route between southern Sweden and Kosovo’s capital. The airline will operate the link three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a 239-seat Airbus A321neo. The route expands Wizz Air’s network from Malmö Airport and gives the airport a new connection to south-eastern Europe.

Swedavia has framed the launch as part of continued demand for international travel and a broader effort to strengthen links to eastern and southern Europe. The new service also creates a Kosovo connection for the Malmö catchment area, supporting leisure travel and visits to friends and relatives, while also offering some potential for business traffic.

The schedule is already open for bookings, indicating that the route is set for a firm start rather than a provisional plan. For Wizz Air, the Malmö–Pristina link extends its low-cost footprint in Scandinavia and adds another point-to-point route into a market with established diaspora demand.
